DESCRIPTION:Agogliati Field\n25 Middlesex Avenue\nPortland\, CT US 06480 \nRushford’s friend and colleague Michael Sienkiewicz was a proud friend of Bill W for 36 years. Over the course of his sobriety\, Mike developed a passion for helping others to find their way through the muck and mire of alcoholism and addiction. He pursued a career in addiction counseling and\, through his work at Rushford Stonehaven and in his personal life\, he never missed an opportunity to reach out to and support everyone his life touched. Mike was a perpetual source of encouragement for the people fortunate enough to be around him with his prodigious knowledge of addiction\, the standard of excellence he maintained\, his deep dedication to the field\, and the gift of his marvelous sense of humor. Mike’s favorite advice was always to “Go with the Flow and Ride the Wave.” When asked what his dreams and goals were he would simply reply “I would like to live a good life and leave this world clean and sober\, leaving behind a legacy of hope and healing.” With joy and compassion\, our most beloved Michael did exactly that and much\, much more. We miss you Michael and we continue to love you and support your journey from afar. \nRushford Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides substance abuse and mental health prevention\, treatment\, and recovery services to more than 11\,000 individuals each year. \nThey are hosting the Rushford 5k Fun Run and Walk Honoring Michael Sienkiewicz on Saturday\, June 25\, 2022.
